FAQs

Find key details and answers to your top fuel delivery questions in the FAQs below.
  • What is Automated Fuel Delivery (AFD)?
AFD is a program that automates your fuel delivery, removing the hassle of having to check your bulk tank gauge and manually order fuel. When you sign-up for AFD, your bulk tank is monitored and the level is tracked by a central dispatch team.
  • How does monitoring work?
An electronic monitoring system is installed in your bulk fuel tank. When the fuel drops below your predetermined level (dictated by your usage), the monitor sends a signal to our fuel distribution center and your delivery is automatically scheduled, ensuring that you have fuel when you need it most.
  • What are the benefits of AFD?

Along with automated delivery, AFD offers deferred billing, giving you additional fuel in your tank at no upfront charge. With deferred billing, you only pay for fuel as you use it, with the benefit of average monthly pricing. Average monthly pricing reduces your risk to market price changes.

Other payment options are available such as bill on delivery, where you pay on a load-by-load basis. You also have the option to purchase unbilled inventory in your tank at any time with an individual tank settlement.

  • How does deferred billing work?
Each month, the monitor in your tank estimates the amount of product you have used, and you are billed for that amount only -- keeping your payables closer to your receivables and freeing up cash to capitalize your business.
  • What are the perks of average monthly pricing?
Rather than paying the price posted on the day the fuel was delivered (or used), you’ll be charged the average price for that entire month. You don’t need to worry about what the market will do next, or wait to order in hopes that fuel prices will drop.
